My culinary journey started at a very young age with my grandfather Joseph – a traditional baker in Old Antwerp, Belgium. It was in the kitchen together with him that i would spend most of my time.
When i was 12 years old i went to culinary boarding school and after completing internships in Michelin star restaurants in Belgium, The Netherlands and France I took my travelling bag around the world to have culinary experiences in Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, Singapore and South America.
Eight years ago i moved to New York to work as the Executive Chef to an European Ambassador to the United Nations and since then I am the Executive Chef for all formal in-house and external events on behalf of the Ambassador’s personal and business engagements. In 2015 I opened JH Catering hoping to bring my culinary passion to your next event.
My mission is to offer a delicate combination of familiarity paired with culinary genius and an unparalleled exclusive event experience in order to ensure the delivery of an evening well spent. My current client base adheres to a demanding level of event pre-conceptions and considerations, which are only meet through the execution of innovative, yet simple flavors, professional and smart service, light indulgence, culinary brilliance and well conceived preparations.
From a small dinner party to a 200 people bash, my personal and professional touch to every element of the kitchen and service has been proven through my existing concept, which is successfully delivering the food, brand and vision to an extremely satisfied and repeat book of business.
